Forensic Breath Alcohol Analysis Training-PM FEE: $0.00 LOCATION: Crime Laboratory - Peralta Oaks Facility, 2901 Peralta Oaks Court, 1st Floor [MAP] New LocationDESCRIPTION: This course is designed to instruct law enforcement personnel in the theory and operation of the Draeger Alcotest 7110 MK III-C Breath Alcohol Testing Device as well as legal issues pertaining to breath alcohol testing in general. Students will be given hands-on opportunity to operate a Draeger Alcotest 7110 MK III-C and will be expected to successfully complete practical and written examinations. Successful completion of this course is required for all law enforcement personnel prior to utilizing Alameda County Sheriff's Office supported Draeger Alcotest 7110 MK III-C instruments. Each student must complete 4 hours of training to be certified to operate the device. This course is held at 2901 Peralta Oaks Court, 1st Floor, Oakland, CA 94605. INSTRUCTORS: All instructors are certified from Alameda County Sheriff s Office Crime Lab. PREREQUISITES: Students must be law enforcement personnel. CERTIFICATION: POST Cert# 1010-20322, POST Plan IV PRESENTATIONS HOURS: This course is from 1300-1700 hours. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Student dress code at the Peralta Oaks Facility - Crime Lab is business casual. No shorts, sleeveless shirts or open toed shoes are permitted.
