Pre-Academy / Remedial Driver Training Skills FEE: $400.00 LOCATION: Alameda County Sheriff's Office - Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin CA 94568 [MAP] DESCRIPTION: This 8 hour course is designed to prepare incoming recruits for Law Enforcement Academy Driver Training and/or provide remedial training for recruits who have failed Driver Training (EVOC) at their Academy. The students will demonstrate a working knowledge of driver skills by successfully completing vehicle placement exercises such as: Skid Pan, Hazard Avoidance, Offset Alley, Emergency Braking, Serpentine and lane positioning as it relates to high speed driving. INSTRUCTORS: All Instructors are P.O.S.T. Certified Driving Instructors. PREREQUISITE: Student must provide proof that they are scheduled to attend a Law Enforcement Academy, currently enrolled in a Law Enforcement Academy or have recenbtly failed a P.O.S.T. Basic Course Academy. PRESENTATION DATES & HOURS: This is an 8 hour course that will be presented 0800-1700 hours. The course is limited to 8 students and reservations will be made on a first come, first serve basis. In all cases, course cancellations less than 5 business days' prior to class start date, may be subject to a course cancellation fee equal to 50% of the course tuition.
