ATV/UTV Rider - Law Enforcement - 4 - Hour ATV/UTV Utilities Course FEE: $178.00 LOCATION: Alameda County Sheriff's Office - Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin CA 94568 [MAP] DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to instruct Law Enforcement, Military and SAR personnel in the safe use of an ATV/UTV's ancillary equipment such as; trailering, winching and patient packaging systems for both Law Enforcment and Search and Rescue operations. Skills assessment maneuvers will be utilized to gauge student performance. INSTRUCTORS: All Instructors are P.O.S.T. Certified PREREQUISITE: Must have taken the ATV/UTV Rider - Law Enforcmeent 4 hour course or equivalent. Must be a full time, part time or reserve Peace Officer, Active/Reserve Military or full or part time SAR personnel unless prior arrangements are made with EVOC Coordinator. Must be in excellent physical condition and free of any prior injuries that may be aggravated by operation of an ATV/UTV on both paved roadways and unpaved surfaces. All stuents who are not members of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office must sign a liability waiver. PRESENTATION DATES AND HOURS: This is a 4-hour course generally run in conjunction wih the ATV/UTV Operator's course. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Students are requird to have a valid driver's license. Students should wear suitable clothing, such as long pants (no shorts, skirts or flip flops), a comfortable shirt and sturdy footwear. Departmental utility uniforms are recommended.
