Radar Operator Course FEE: $470.00 LOCATION: Alameda County Sheriff's Office - Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin CA 94568 [MAP] The Alameda County Sheriff's Office presents a CA POST Certified Radar Operator Course. DESCRIPTION: This Course will provide instruction regarding the legal and technical uses of traffic radar systems. The course will include the history, operations theory, applicable laws and court decisions. The use and set up of moving and stationary radar units as well as visual estimations, court testimony, and practical field operations will all be covered in this course. INSTRUCTOR(S): Instructors are current or former traffic officers with extensive experience in the use of moving and stationary radarand court testimony in this subject matter. For questions regarding the class you can contact Sergeant Scott Miller at smiller@acgov.org PREREQUISITIES: Law Enforcement Personnel only REQUIRED MATERIAL: All students are encouraged to bring their own radar unit and a calculator with cosine and tangent functions. The student dress code at the Regional Training Center is business casual. No shorts, sleeveless shirts or open toed shoes are permitted. PRESENTATION DATES & HOURS: This is a three day (24 hour course). Class begins at 0800 Hrs. See below for dates available.
